Designed as a theatre arts residency program, it can be done in 3-4 days, depending on the site and number of students. The production has been done for libraries and schools and can work with from 20-400 students.

This is a multimedia program using puppetry, mark work, movement to music, video projection and special effects. The program is a great introduction to theatre and pageantry, and also has a natural science cross-training as the show deals with ecosystems of pollinators, the arctic, the rain forest, and American Prairie.

The show travels with over 100 puppets and costumes, younger students also make rod puppets – birds, or butterflies which they can keep and are used in the production.

Age appropriate for 6-18 years. Running time 60 minutes.

“The Toy Shop” was our 2nd original production produced in 1991. It is one of 44 original shows produced over 34 years.
